The Imperative of Feedback Training for Employees
Every growth culture must also be a feedback culture
On the final day of our advanced leadership training workshops at Acceleration Partners, which we design to prepare new managers to lead, we do something that always catches attendees by surprise.
After spending previous sessions on things like core values and authentic leadership, we close with “difficult conversations” role-playing exercise. We crafted several prompts that were based on real performance management conversation topics, and we assigned volunteers to act out each role—with one person playing the manager and the other playing the direct-report.
